For those people wishing to visit the Doonpeter Well and burial ground, take the Mallow road from Glenville to Roche's Cross, turn right and follow the signs to the Mass Rock in the area known as the Chimneyfield - park here.

In order to visit the Mass Rock walk up the small secluded glen. Return to the road directly across from the entrance to the old Famine road. This is a waymarked track which meanders along the north bank of the River Bride.

Cross the small bridge over the Chimneyfield river, a tributary of the Bride, and continue to the waymarker at the small footbridge over the river Bride.

Cross the river and follow the rising track to the Doonpeter Holy Well and burial ground. Having visited this, follow the waymarker across a number of fields and exit to the right at the Mallow road, at the entrance gate for Doonpeter Holy Well.

Turn right and at the first cross, Roche's Cross-Roads (2.5km), turn right and return to your car.
