From Mitchelstown take the Limerick road (R513) until you arrive at the signpost for Anglesborough (4km approximately). Turn right and at Anglesborough church, you will find a very well laid out map which outlines walk distances and directions. The most advisable place to begin your walk is at the car park at Combaun Wood (3km), on the road south-east of Anglesborough. There are two walks. The first is a short, beautiful walk through the Combaun Woods. It winds its way around a track with a small climb of about 125m. This walk is waymarked with green arrows.
