13.4 Pigeonrock - Blackrock Ridge - Garrigeen Mountain Loop
Follow the walk indicated in 13.3 up the Pigeonrock Glen, until you arrive at the turf cutting bogs north of Knockaterriff Beg. Continue around the ridge, and cross the upper end of Blackrock Glen at Lyracappul, until you reach the ridge which connects the hill on the east of Blackrock Glen to the Galtees.
Walk down the ridge directly south and climb up over Carrigeen Mountain (629 metres). Observe the beautiful view west to Blackrock Valley and Knockaterriff, east to Glounreagh River, northeast to Galtymore and down through the Valleys and Glens, across to the Nagle Mountains.
Continue walking until you meet a forest track. Turn right at the end of the forestry and follow a track down to the lower road by the Behanagh river to your car.
